The TCENC202 has been developed to deploy ethernet networks wirelessly in hazardous areas. Up to six increased safety omni-directional high performance antennae can be used, meaning coverage is greatly enhanced. They can be mounted directly onto the enclosure or locally using the brackets supplied or on a wall away from the TCENC202 enclosure to ensure the optimum position for best coverage of the area.
The TCENC202 is available in many versions and can be supplied with industry leading wireless network manufacturers hardware such as Motorola, Cisco, Meru and Aruba Access Points. Connection back to the safe area server is via your own IT infrastructure by either CAT5E / STP cable or fibre optic cables.
If the WLAN is outside and the antennas are at risk of lighting strikes surge suppressors can be built in to protect your network hardware. Also a heater can be installed to ensure that condensation or cold is not a problem in installations subjected to cold and high humidity.
